Evaluation Procedure
In
all Grades from II and above, a student’s performance is continuously assessed
throughout the year. Tests are given regularly by the concerned subject
teachers. Remedial coaching, wherever necessary is conducted as a follow-up to
these tests. This scheme is named as the Continuous
Assessment Programme (CAP). The
year is divided into three terms. A scientifically developed subjectwise report
is provided to the parents at the end of each term.
Half-yearly examination
is conducted in the month of January and the final
examination in the month of June. Twenty percent of the marks
obtained in the Half-Yearly examinations are incorporated into the Final
Examination Marks.
Promotion
to the next higher grade is made on the basis of the combined marks obtained by
the students in the half-yearly examinations, the final examinations and under
the Continuous Assessment Programme. Rules of the Ministry of Education, U.A.E.
are applied for deciding promotions.
A
descriptive mid-term report is provided to parents whose children are studying
in grades KG-I, KG-II and I.
Stars are awarded to appreciate the meritorious performance of the students at various examinations. Students with aggregate marks of more than 85%, 70% and 60% are respectively awarded Gold, Silver and Red Stars.
