The Facilities :
At
present the school is lodged in the heart of the city in a building specially
renovated to meet the requirements of a full-fledged secondary school. It is
fully equipped with facilities like a Science room,
a Computer room, a library, etc. It has a fully covered basketball court for children’s recreation.
The
Computer room is equipped with the
latest computers. A wide and diverse collection of educational CD’s and
programs help in enriching the children’s knowledge and understanding in a
fascinating environment. The school has its own website at www.alrayyanschool.com on which
children are also encouraged to project their creations.
The
Science room is equipped with all
necessary equipment and material required for IGCSE level coaching.
The
audio-video collection includes an array
of engaging enrichment cassettes covering all subjects for all ages.
The
library has books for children of all
age groups besides encyclopedias and rich reference material. In grades KG to
III library books are issued through the English language teachers under an Extension Reading Programme meant to enhance
children’s vocabulary and comprehension skills.
Children
are often taken to municipal parks, Tourist Club
and other sophisticated sports facilities provided in the city. School
transport is provided free of charge for this purpose.
The
School provides air-conditioned bus service
to children opting for it. Children are picked up and dropped at all major
points in the city.
The School plans to have its own-purpose designed building in a spacious campus in the near future.
