Homework Policy :
The
School firmly believes that the work done by the students during their regular
classes should be reinforced at a later
stage through their own efforts. This helps in consolidation of the learnt
material. However, there should be minimum interference of the teachers or the
parents in the reinforcement process. The School has therefore designed a self-study session after the lunch break during
which the students finish their homework in the school itself. In general (except during the month of
Ramadan), children up to grade VI are not expected to take any homework home. At
week-ends they are given revision-based homework or projects to be undertaken
at home.
There is a change in the homework policy when the students reach Grade VII. At this stage children need to spend a part of their evening hours to revise the day’s work and prepare themselves for the next day. The purpose is to ensure the strengthening of self-study habits in preparation for the IGCSE Examinations. Students of grades IX and X are expected to study on an average 3 hours a day.
