MRS. SALEEMA MAHMOODI (Vice - Principal): M.Sc., B. Ed (Zoology) :Mrs. Saleema has served various Schools in the areas of Teaching,and  Administration for past 23 years , Practically Implementing various projects in Science and Environmental Development. In the field of teaching, she has added many feathers to her cap by serving The Zikra School (India) and The Crescent School (India) as a Principal. She has also worked as a Bio-technical teacher at Noble Institute of Aeronautical Engineering and Technology (India) and as the Head of the Department at The Noble School (India).Having served the Hyderabad Public School (India) as a teacher, she then moved to the UAE in 2007, to give her best at The Islamia English School (Abu Dhabi) as a Head Mistress, and has continued to work there till recent past.Her profound knowledge and vivid experience comes from attending various seminars and science workshops. Being so knowledgeable, she has actively given her bit, trying to create awareness for the people by publishing articles, poems and presenting various projects on Environmental Conservation. She has also been awarded for her tremendous hard work and dedication with the best advisor of the Millennium’s award by the (W.W.F), India in the year, 2000. She has now joined Al Rayyan from the academic year 2009 – 2010 as a Vice – Principal to share all her knowledge and experience to the students, teachers and parents, for their well being and better future. She firmly believes in the fact that, all great achievements were once impossible.

MRS. AMAL AL JBOUR (Arabic Supervisor ) B.A.  Mrs. Amal started her teaching career back in 1990 at the Ideal School (Jordan). Serving the institution for six long years, she switched to a Government School and continued her services for a year. She  joined Al Rayyan in 1998 and is amongst the senior most teachers of the School. Possessing the designation of the Arabic Supervisor, Mrs. Amal also teaches Arabic M.T. (Mother Tongue) to Grades I – VII.

MRS. ANITA MAITRA (Supervisor) M.A., B.Ed. : Mrs. Anita has been teaching senior level classes for about ten years having been associated with institutions of higher learning such as Modern School (Kota, Rajasthan) and SICA (Indore, Madhya Pradesh). Her tenure in Al Rayyan commenced in October, 1999, where she was given the responsibility of teaching English and Social Studies to Primary and Secondary classes. Being the coordinator of English Language Teaching for Grades IV – VIII for a short duration, she also performed her duty of handling the Student Council and House System. After serving the School as a Primary Supervisor for a very brief period of time, Mrs. Anita now takes complete charge of the Secondary Section designated as the Section Supervisor, along with tutoring English to Grade X.

MRS. WAHEEDA SAYYID (Supervisor) M.A. (Psychology): Mrs. Waheeda is a very positive and has a vibrant personality. She pursued her education after a break of 18 long years. She has served as the Supervisor at the Islamic International School (Mumbai), run by the World renowned Islamic Scholar Dr. Zakir Naik. She has also worked at his institution IRF, conducting motivational talks and workshops for parents and teachers. Designated as the Primary Section Supervisor at Al Rayyan, she also teaches Islamic Studies to Primary grades.She has introduced  Islamic Quiz in the School. She has conducted seminar on motivation teachers in the school.

MRS. MANAL ABDUL RAHIM : (Arabic Teacher) A bachelor of    science with seven years experience of teaching in private schools in  Egypt.  Teaches Arabic NMT to grades KGII to IV and Tarbia Islamia to     grades KG to II. Interests are reading and sports.
 

MRS. RAMYA HEITTIARACHCHI: B.Sc. Mrs. Ramya a senior teacher of the School has been serving this institution for the past 9 years. She had worked as a demonstrator in the Botany Department at the Colombo University before she joined us.Her long association with the School and the good rapport with her fellow colleagues, parents and students show her dedication towards work. She teaches Sinhala for all grades, along with Science and Mathematics to Primary grades

MRS. ROSHINI MENDIS: G.C.E. (Advance Level) , Diploma in Primary Teaching : Mrs. Roshini has a rich teaching experience of over 16 years and has offered her services in the Holy Family Convent (Colombo) and Our Own English High School (Abu Dhabi).She is designated as a Kindergarten teacher and takes keen efforts in nurturing the tiny tots with utmost care. She also teaches Sinhala for KG-II and grade I, and helps the slow learners of primary students with remedial classes.

MRS. HALA SAAD: (Arabic Teacher): B.A. (Philosophy) Cairo Branch, Diploma in French Language, from Gurnoble University, France,        Diploma in Computer Science.Mrs. Hala was born at Kosti, Sudan and brought up at Port Sudan. With 7 years of teaching experience. She taught French at Red Sea Institute, Port Sudan for two years and  Served at Model High School Abu Dhabi for 5 years as Arabic Teacher. Joined Al Rayyan National Pvt. School in 2006. Hobbies include reading, cooking and listening to Music.

MRS. BIRJEES FATIMA (Urdu Tr.) B.A.: Mrs. Birjees joined Al Rayyan in the year 2006 and has persistently been giving 100% results at the IGSCE exam in Urdu. Her past five years  experience is associated with the Ruwais International School and the Dhafra Private School.Designated as the Urdu teacher for all sections, she also is in charge of Art classes in the Primary Section.

   
 MRS. SAMIA MOHAMED ELHASAN: (Arabic and Social Studies Teacher) B.A.: Mrs. Samia joined Al Rayyan in the year 2006 as a Social Studies Teacher, teaching this subject to the Arabic native speakers. She has previously worked at the El Shaab Primary and Secondary School (Sudan) and Noor Indian Islamic School.She also prepares the students for the Annual Day, Sports Meet and other events.         

MRS. SADAF ASLAM (Chemistry Teacher) M.Sc., B.Ed.: Mrs. Sadaf has a very rich experience of 9 years in the field of teaching and shares her association with the PAF Shaheen College (Pakistan), Fauji Foundation Model College (Pakistan), Pakistan International School (Abu Dhabi), after which she joined Al Rayyan in the academic year 2006 – 2007. She teaches Science to the secondary grades along with enlightening them in the field of Islamic Studies. She holds the credit for organizing the very first Science exhibition to be held at the Al Rayyan premises and also conducts various Science quizzes. She also lends a helping hand at stage decorations and prize distribution ceremonies for various occasions.

 Mrs. MAYA SARMA  M.A., (English), Diploma in Montessori Training: : Mrs. Maya gained  experience after teaching as a Primary teacher in the P. N. Amersey School (India) and as a Kindergarten teacher in St. Xavier’s High School (India). She joined Al Rayyan in the year 2006 and is designated as the Kindergarten teacher. She is the class teacher of KG – 1 and acts as the very first teacher for many little buds waiting to bloom. She is tutor for English, Mathematics, Rhymes and General Knowledge. She prepares the children for various performances at the Assembly, Annual Day functions and Poetry Competitions, boosting their confidence to deliver their best. Along with this, she also helps the weaker Primary grade students with remedial classes. She was also awarded for having the credit of  100% attendance, by the School, for not remaining absent, even for a single day, which shows her dedication and sincerity towards work.

MRS. EMAN IBRAHIM. ( MT Teacher )B.A. : She is teaches  Arabic from KG  to Grade 5. She is experienced in teaching for two years in Egypt and 1 year in U.A.E. She has joined Al Rayyna National Pvt. School in Her hobbies include Music ,Reading and  Knitting .

MRS. SAIRA FEROZE ( Primary Teacher )B.A. (Psychology), B.Ed. : Mrs. Saira has had teaching experience in Our Own English High School (Abu Dhabi), Cambridge High School (Musaffah) and CBSE and O Level Schools in India after which she was associated with Al Rayyan in the academic year 2007 – 2008. She won the Class Management trophy for the Primary Section, and teaches various subjects to the Primary grades. She prepares the youngsters for various activities such as poetry recitation, sports day, Annual day etc.

MR. SHINTO KURIAN ( Physics Teacher )M.Sc.(Physics),M.Phil(Physics),B.Ed..: Mr. Shinto joined Al Rayyan in the academic year 2007 – 2008 and is designated as the Science co-ordinator, mainly teaching Physics to senior grades. He has previously worked at the Dr. Ambedkar Arts and Science College (India) as an in charge of the Physics department for the post graduate students and also dedicated his services to the New Hampshire Centre for Professional Development (Knowledge Village, Dubai) for graduate students.He also works to the best of his abilities in organising Science fair, projects, and Interschool exhibitions and has also lent a helping hand for the audio – visual presentation of the School Report at the Annual Day.

.MRS. VINOJI JIPSON ( Computer Teacher)B.Sc. (Chemistry), MCA  : Mrs. Vinoji teaches Computer Studies to the secondary section and also is in charge of the preparation of Results and the Audio Visual presentation of the School Report for the Annual Day. She joined Al Rayyan in the academic year 2007 – 2008, previously having worked in India. She won the Dr. Liaquat Ali Khan trophy for the best class in the secondary section, which shows her efficiency and understanding with her students.

MRS. KANEEZ FATHIMA ( English – So. St. Teacher )M.A. (History), B.Ed., Certificate courses in French and English:  Starting her career as a Primary teacher in Baynes Memorial Baptist Church Higher Secondary School (India), her devotion and dedication raised her to the rank of a Headmistress, where she continued for a period of 25 years. She later worked at the Asian International School (Abu Dhabi) for 2 years, after which she joined Al Rayyan and still strives to deliver her best. Mrs. Kaneez is the Social Studies teacher, and puts in great her efforts in inculcating knowledge to the students. Having profound interest in poetry, she composes songs for various occasions and trains children in co-curricular activities. She also helps in School  administration in making Class  and  school timetable .

MRS. TALAT ASIM (K.G. Teacher):B.A., Certified course in Computer Basics : Mrs. Talat joined Al Rayyan in the academic year 2007 – 2008, after having served the Bright Future School (Pakistan), Montessori Complex High School (Pakistan), Iqra School (Pakistan) and Al Salam School (Abu Dhabi) overall for a period of 4 years in all .She is in charge of the tiny tots of the school being the class teacher of KG-II. She is assigned subjects like English, Rhymes, and General Knowledge. She plays a vital in boosting  the confidence of the tiny tots in every aspect and nurturing them with utmost love and affection so that they can face the world. She also tutors remedial classes for slow learners of the Primary grades, helping them do better in the field of academics.

MS. SOPHIA CRUZ  (English Teacher) M.A., M.PHIL (ENGLISH LITERATURE) :        Ms. Sophia is a strict disciplinarian and has previously worked with the Sherwood Academy (Abu Dhabi) for a period of five years. She joined Al Rayyan in the year 2007, and gained a remarkable popularity amongst her students within a short span of time. Her innovative ideas in theatre make her a good event coordinator and her enthusiasm sparks in everything she takes charge of. Has compared various events for the School and believes in delivering her best. She loves evoking interaction with any batch. She teaches English to the Higher Grades, preparing them for the IGCSE exam.

MR. MOHAMMED TAUFEEQ AHMED (P.Ed. teacher) B.COM, M.P.ED: Mr. Taufeeq worked for a period of 5 years in Sarosh English School (India), before joining Al Rayyan. He has been working with since January, 2008. He is designated as the Physical Instructor.He is overall in charge of all games and sports activities in the school and is accountable for the weekly visits of students to the sports club. He also trains the students for inter school sport competitions and prepares them to deliver their best.  

MRS. NAHID FATHIMA (Physics Teacher) M.SC. (PHYSICS), B.ED., M.PHIL : Mrs. Nahid joined Al Rayyan in the academic year 2008 – 2009 and is designated as the Secondary Section Physics Teacher. She is in charge of the Science projects and  exhibitions and organizes interschool science exhibitions. Her past experiences comes from the work she did at the Eve Matric School (India) and the Holy Cross Matric School (India) for a period of 6 years. 

MR. SAMUEL EMMANUEL (English Teacher) M.A. (ENGLISH), B.ED.:Mr. Samuel has dedicated a major part of his life to teaching, of which 8 years were spent at Al Rayyan National Pvt. School. He is designated as the English teacher for the senior section preparing them for the IGCSE exams and was successful in getting A* for the students. Being interested in dramatics, music and literary activities, his guidance and training has won trophies to the School at the interschool literary competitions.

MRS. PRITI MARGARET EMMANUEL (Primary Teacher) M.A. (ENGLISH), B.ED.:        Mrs. Priti has an overall 20 years of teaching experience with Schools like Notre Dame Academy (India), St. Josheph’s School (India), St. Josheph’s Convent (Abu Dhabi) and Al Salam Pvt. School (Dubai). Gifted with a captivating smile and mannerism, she teaches English to the Primary grades in Al Rayyan, also taking care of interclass literary competitions, since the year 2008.

MR. SANKHASUBHA ROY (English Teacher) B.A. (ENGLISH), TTC: Coming from Sherwood Academy (Abu Dhabi) after having given his services for a period of 7 years, taught  English as Second Language to grades 4 – 10.Produced A* ’s in English  as a  second language ( I.G.C.S.E.) , was Prefect in- charge , Exams Cell officer at Sherwood Academy during his tenure. Mr. Roy joined Al Rayyan in the academic year 2008 – 2009. Being a very strict disciplinarian, he is the discipline in charge, member in charge of the Student’s Council and also helps in assisting in the examination cell. He works as an English teacher for the secondary grades.

MRS. DHARMA BALU (Mathematics Teacher) B.SC., N.T.T. (NURSERY TEACHERS TRAINING), B.ED. : Having taught in schools like New Green Field (India), The Mothers International (India) and Our Own English High School (Abu Dhabi), Mrs. Balu joined Al Rayyan in the academic year 2008 – 2009. She teaches Mathematics to the secondary grades and also gets involved in various other activities like prize distribution etc.She is a strict disciplinarian  and believes in perfection

Mrs. SARA  ZAKARIYA: (Islamic Studies Teacher) B.A. (Islamic Studies) : She has started her teaching career from Al Rayyan National Pvt. School, Abu Dhabi. Prior to working in a private school, she has served for a centre where she was taking care of special need children in Abu Dhabi. She has been teaching Islamic Studies to the students of grades 6-10.

MRS. SIBI SHYJU: (Biology Teacher) M.SC. (MICROBIOLOGY), B.Ed.: Having worked as Biology teacher at Chinmaya Vidiyalya, Kottaiyam, Kerala in C.B.S.E. Stream. She Joined Al Rayyan National Pvt. School, in 2008-09. She has been teaching Biology to the students of Secondary section. Gifted with a pleasant personality she believes in solving problems of students with a smiling face. 

NADIA KHAN (Primary Teacher): B.A., B.ED. : Mrs. Nadia is a young teacher with 3 years of experience in the teaching field. She has given her services in the Tahir Public School (Pakistan) and the Young Scholar’s Comprehensive School (Pakistan). She joined the Al Rayyan family last year and her enthusiasm and commitment prove to be an asset to the School. She is designated as a Primary Teacher.

MRS. SHEEJA P  (Mathematics Teacher): M.ED. (MATHEMATICS), UGC (LECTURESHIP IN EDUCATION) : Having 5 years experience in M. A. M. Model School (India) and 3 months in Emirates Future International Academy (Abu Dhabi), Mrs. Sheeja joined Al Rayyan from this academic year. Having mastered in the subject of Mathematics, she teaches the same to higher grades.

ANGELO ANTHONY GONSALVEZ :(Mathematics Teacher) M.SC. (MATHEMATICS) : Mr. Angelo believes that every student is a unique gift from God and a teacher plays a pivotal role in tapping those hidden talents in helping him/her cope with the world at large. Having a work experience of almost 9 years, he started his career at the Al Tawaan Private School (Abu Dhabi), as a Mathematics teacher. He gradually gained himself promotions due to good interpersonal relationship and visionary leadership skills as the Headmaster and finally as the Head of the Mathematics Department in the same institution.  He joins Al Rayyan from the academic year 2009 – 2010 in order to accentuate his innovative ideas in the field of teaching and to start afresh in the department of Mathematics with the same vigor.

VENETIA SAVIONNA JAYARAJ: (Chemistry Teacher) B.SC. (CHEMISTRY), B.ED., M.A. (ENGLISH) : Mrs. Venetia has a rich experience of fifteen years in teaching Science and is competent in co-curricular activities as well. Her long time experience is associated with various schools like Sherwood Academy (Abu Dhabi), Indian School Al Seeb (Muscat), Montfort Hr. Secondary School (India) and BHEL, R.S.K Hr. Secondary School (India). Her attributes in co-curricular activities come from her experiences as a compere, stage concert producer, quiz competitions organizer, and School Olympiads co-coordinator. Her strengths are good communication and interpersonal skills, beautiful calligraphy, dedication and discipline. She joins the Al Rayyan family from the academic year 2009 – 2010 as a Science faculty to use her professional skills and expertise in imparting quality and value based education. She has been made in charge of the science laboratory  from this year.

MRS. SALEHA BEGUM (Primary Teacher) M.ED., : Having worked in the Primary School (Bangladesh) for a period of 8 years and Pakistan International School (Abu Dhabi) for 4 years, Mrs. Saleha joins Al Rayyan from this academic year. Her motherly nature attracts children to her. She has joined Al Rayyan National Pvt. School from this academic year. She is teaching various subjects in Primary classes and Bengali to all classes.

 MR. MOHAMMAD TANZEEM KHAN:  ( Librarian ),M.Sc. (Maths), Mlis, Cic, Moalim-E-Urdu : Mr. Tanzeem joined Al Rayyan in the academic year 2006 – 2007 after serving the Greenwood Senior Secondary School (India) for five years. He also worked at the Dr. Zakir Hussain Library and the National Medical Library (New Delhi).  He also imparted his education as a Library Professor at the Indraprastha College (Delhi).     He is mainly designated as the Librarian but also helps out in other areas of the school. He substitutes the teachers who are absent and sets papers for the entrance exams, also evaluating the students, fit for admission.

MRS. ANITA ROY: (English Teacher) B.A., T.T.C.: She did her TTC from Assembly of God Church Calcutta. She has started her teaching profession from Admas International School & served it for two years. In her first outing she joined Sherwood Academy, Abu Dhabi.  She had worked for 3 years in Primary section of Sherwood School. She has joined Al Rayyan National Pvt. School from Sept. 2009. She has been teaching English to the students of Middle School. Her hobby includes dancing, social work and debating.

MRS. FAUZIA KAZI  (Social Worker - K.G. Teacher) M.A. (SOCIOLOGY) : Mrs. Fauzia joins Al Rayyan from this academic year to give her best in all that she has learnt in the area of dealing with the age of innocence, the Kindergarten. She has been assigned as the class teacher of KG-1 and will involves her students with various activities related to the English language, Rhymes, Mathematics and General Knowledge. She has previously worked as an English tutor at a training Institute at Abu Dhabi and provided tuitions for KG and Primary grade students in India. She is also the Social worker of the School .

MRS. JISHA D. NAIR (Computer Science Teacher) B.SC. (BOTANY), MCA : Having worked as a programming faculty and software developer in India, Mrs. Jisha joins Al Rayyan from this academic year. Assigned as a Computer teacher, she promises to be efficient and well versed in her department of study, showing all the magic of the Computer World to the students.

MRS.SHAIMA SAMEER IBRAHIM :(Arabic Teacher) B.A. (ARABIC LITERATURE FROM AL AZHAR UNIVERSITY,  :She has begun her professional career from Al Rayyan National Pvt. School, Abu Dhabi. She has been teaching Arabic Mother tongue (MT) to Arabs in the school from grades 6 – 10. Has pleasing personality. Hobbies include reading, listening to Radio programmes and watching T. V.

MR. PRAKASH PAUL PETER: (Class Teacher) B.A, TTC :  Has previous experience at Father Leblond, India and Sherwood Academy, Abu Dhabi, UAE. He has worked as an English teacher for 6 years in Sherwood Academy, Abu Dhabi (IGCSE). Assisting in the planning and organizing of events and functions in the school (like inter house competitions, plays, prize days, etc.). Training and accompanying the students for co-curricular activities like elocution, recitation, and debate. He’s capable of undertaking professional duties and organizing of tasks as delegated by the Principal. He believes in maintaining order and discipline among the students and promoting the general progress and well being of individual students.Presently working as a class teacher at AL Rayyan National (Pvt.) School, Abu Dhabi (IGCSE). Teaching, Mathematics, Science and Computers in grade 4. He’s interested in painting, sketching, reading, listening to music and playing games (like football, table tennis, cricket and hockey).

MR. JOHN SRIKAR BHEEMANADAM :(Computer Teacher) B.Tech. (Computers) Mr. John is a fresh computer engineer, passed her Bachelor's degree in computer Engineering from Vishakapatnam, Andhra Pradhesh India. Young and energetic IT engineer who has been starting his professional career from Al Rayyan National Pvt. School, Abu Dhabi. He is youngest among the teaching faculty of the school. He is creative and would like to teach senior students computer science with practicals. He is interested in sports and games. He likes music and interested in various indoor and outdoor games and sports.
