CIRCULAR

Dear Parents,

 

Following is important information for the current academic year closing and reopening of the new academic year 2004-05.

 

FINAL EXAMINATIONS: The theory examination begins as per already issued time table on Monday, 24^th May, 2004. School timings during the examination for all classes will be from 7.30 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. Students are not expected to attend school on those days when they have no examination.

 

RESULTS: Subject to approval by the Ministry of Education, the results will be issued to the parents on Saturday, 26^th June, 2004 from 8.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.

 

NEW ADMISSIONS: New admissions to all classes are already in progress. Our first priority is to accommodate children whose brothers and sisters are already studying in this school. Hence we request all parents that if they wish to admit any new children in this school they should do so before 6^th June, 2004. After this date admissions will be made only if seats are available. No admission test will be held from 23^rd June 2004 to 24^th August 2004. If admission tests are not done on or before 22^nd June, 2004, the same will be held on the 25^th of August, 2004 and thereafter.

 

ISSUANCE OF TRANSFER CERTIFICATES: Students, who are for any reason leaving the school at the end of the academic year should apply for “School Leaving Certificate” on or before 5^th of June, 2004. We will try to keep the certificate ready and issue them along with the results. It should be clearly mentioned on the application form whether the TC is required for transferring the students:

 

            ◊          Within Abu Dhabi city.

            ◊          Outside Abu Dhabi city but within Abu Dhabi emirate.

            ◊          Outside Abu Dhabi emirate but within UAE.

            ◊          Outside UAE.

 

The school will not be responsible for issuance of a wrong certificate if accurate instructions are not received from parents. We recommend that the parents apply for TC’s on a prescribed proforma available at the reception or request for the proforma to be faxed.

 

The school will collect a fee of Dhs. 25/- for each transfer certificate. This amount includes the attestation fees charged by the Ministry of Education. Parents will be given attested TC & they will not have to go to the Ministry for attestation.

 

The school reserves the right to collect fees for the new term if the TC is not applied for in time.

 

ISSUANCE OF OTHER CERTIFICATES: Due to non-availability of staff during summer holidays, it is not possible to issue any kind of certificate. Hence, parents are requested to get the required certificates issued before 26^th June, 2004.

 

TEXT BOOKS FOR THE  YEAR 2004-05: Text books will be available in the school stores from 24^th August, 2004 either in the morning from 8.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. or in the evening from 6.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. Parents are requested to buy the books in time to avoid last minute rush at the counters.

 

As publishers make last minute changes and certain existing books in our curriculum go out of print, confirmed lists of books can be made available only after the first week of August, 2004.

 

SCHOOL UNIFORM: There is no change in school uniform. We wish to remind parents that the uniform should always be purchased from the school otherwise it creates variation in shades which is unacceptable, as per the school policy.

 

REOPENING: The school will reopen on Monday 6^th September, 2004 for all classes from KG-II to X. KG-I classes will begin from 8^th September, 2004.

 

On the first two days of the new academic year, i.e. 6^th and 7^th of September, 04 there will be no self-study session and the school will close at 1.00 p.m. for all classes (KG-II to X). From 8^th September, school timings will revert to their normal routine, i.e. 7.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. for grades I to X and 7.30 a.m. to 12.25 p.m. for grades KG-I & KG-II.
